I just bought this tool with a lot of skepticism: either it's as good as everyone claims and will make my life despite a lot of lacking home improvement skills a lot easier or it's just another one of those hypes. My personal opinion: It's a God-sent! I have only used it for sanding and cutting some minor things so far, but even if I only used it for sanding, it's totally worth the money. I got a bunch of areas done that I couldn't get into with three other sanding tools I tried, and I was done within minutes. Just that alone made me a believer. I have a whole lot of remodeling tasks ahead of me and can easily see where this tool will come in more than handy in a variety of ways. If you are, like I was, skeptical, by all means, check it out. You can always return or sell it if you think it's not for you. However, I would bet that there will be few, if any disappointments in it for you. (And I'm a technical editor in the healthcare field, so, no, I do not work for Fein or Festool, in case you're wondering.)
