I have had two of these badboys for a couple months now and am really glad I got them. I had been eying them for awhile before I pulled the trigger. This tool is really a different beast then the rollers, saw horses, and makeshift work support jammers you are accustomed to, yet does all these things and more.
The packaging was fine and the assembly was easy. First thing I noticed was that it was very strong and stable. It has large rubber pads on its feet that keep it from sliding around or toppling over. There are knobs that once turned allow you to raise or lower the stand and/or move the top from horizontal to vertical position. The top has another knob that allows you to use a vise mechanism to hold a workpiece or better yet if you have two, a door or 2 x 4 frame to use as worktable. The top has two "speed bumps" that allow material to pass or rest on it equally well. I have mostly day to day used these as extensions supports for my miter station while I build a permanent one and as an infeed table for my table saw. I noticed early on that the groove that is machined into the top that allows you to move it also doesn't let you level it perfectly. I used a file to make the groove a little bigger and now I can get it perfectly level with the miter or table saw table. It was definitely usable without filing, but I believe that it is improved by being able to have the entire surface of material rest on it.
The only reason that I didn't give it five stars is because it appears that the hardware used in the knobs is pretty inadequate and strips easily. After having them for a couple months, both were deemed almost unusable. Duct Tape wrapped around where you want it to stay, a bunch of times works in a jam. Timmy c sent me new ones which I just swapped out, so I will update post in a few more months. It should be noted that I did use them everyday on job site and them brought them back to my garage shop which is under construction for some more work, so you could say I gave the deluxe workout.
Even after that I have found these stands to be extremely versatile and a must have for contractors and shop junkies. They are ingeniously engineered and really fill a void in the market and my operation. Having a Triton 3 1/4 HP prior to this and loving it, I may want to see what those Aussies are doing down there! Later Junkies
