The Barrel Grip Jigsaw is the preferred Jigsaw of Festool Junkie. Although most Americans are used to the D-Handle flavor, we like the feel of the Barrel Grip; being closer to the work surface and to us, easier to manuever, the barrel grip is our preference. In Europe the accepted method of work is to run the saw from underneath, pulling rather than pushing. As we have stated before, there is a certain amount of learning curve to the wonderful world of Festool.
