Festool Planer Pimped Out (Model No.: Pimped Out F)
Festool Routers with all the
router accessories Festool Planer HL 850 E Pimped Outis one of the best kept secrets in the Festool arsenal.
The Planer is a compact unit that provides all the power you will need for most jobs. Common applications such as
trimming doors, rebate work pieces, and edging are a breeze with this Hand Power Planer. What separates this Planer
from all the rest is it's ability to be turned upside down safely and be used as an on-site jointer. The planer has but just one
spiral blade that provides a sheering effect and is housed in a "head" specifically designed for the respective blade; and, individually factory balance.
The HL 850 Features superior chip collection that allows the user to eject chips either on the right side, or the left side
of the planer. Adjustment for depth of cut is a snap if a rotatind handle; and locks after being set for depth.
The Pimped planer is comprised of these components:
Festool HL 850 E Planer (574539) - $470.00
Festool Bench Unit For HL 850 E (485017) - $88.00
Festool Angle Stop For HL 850 E (485018) - $85.00
Festool Standard Spiral Carbide Blades (484515) - $28.00
Note To Fellow Junkies: There are some very kewl accessories to this planer that if you are looking for specific applications, i.e. Distressed Flooring
you will really want to check out these additional "heads" and blades.
Paner head fine HK 82 RF and Spiral blade HSS (High Speed Steel) fine.
Planer head course HK 82 RG and Spiral blade HSS course.
THE JUNKIE FAV: Planer head undulating HK 82 RW and Spiral blade HSS Rustic undulating. If you are looking for the "hand hewn" or adz look on a floor or perhapsl
an old oak harvest table, Dude, this thing rocks. WARNING! When using the undulating set-up, make sure your depth of cut is set at "0". The blade
will reach beyond the bed of the planer. The effect is created by "fish tailing" the planer back and forth; actually "dropping" the planer blade
on the work surface.
