I sold my Porter Cable router which I used in a router table and decided to go with the OF 1400 hoping the edge guide could do allot of the operations my router table used to do. A couple of days ago while I have the router flipped upside down for some edge guide adjustment it dawned on me this edge guide could probably suffice as a mini router table if I can figure out a way to mount the router upside down.
Love the micro adjuster which allows me to tweek my rebates ever so slightly. The micro adjuster does have some backlash and I pan to install an O-ring or something to eliminate the back lash issue.
Definitely consider buying this edge guide if you do buy an OF 1400
