The Festool RO 150 FEQ 6" Dual-Mode Sander is an Awesome, Awesome Tool! The RO 150 is definitly a must have Junkie Item.
This gem of a tool is actually two sanders in one.
The first mode is the normal Random Orbit mode. The orbital motion is that of the Festool ETS 150/5 providing a 3/16" stroke pattern and 3300 - 6800
orbits per minute depending on the speed at which you have the sander running. The second mode is the Rotary mode. When in Rotary mode the
disc spins in one direction; similar to a grinder; however, there is some eccentric motion that differentiates it from a "flat spinning" motion
like a grinder.
***Beware! You can grind though a sheet of plywood in a few blinks of an eye with this beast using Course Festool Abrasives.*** I am
well over 170lbs and I cannot stop the machine when putting my full weight on it in Rotary Mode.
