Festool C12 Brushless, Cordless Drill Smoking A 14 inch Screw Video
October 21st, 2007
Here is a quick demo of the Festool C-12 Drill with Centrotec. Driving a 14? screw into the end of a treated 2 x 4 is not an easy task. Being the drill is brushless, there are no sparking contacts with brushes reducing power to the drill. The relative torque is stronger than any other drill I have ever used. The power is unbelievable. This drill has a quick chuck release that allows you to use an interchangeable snap on depth stop chuck, eccentric chuck, right angle chuck, centrotec chuck and of course your old school Jacobs style chuck. We challenge you to do this with your 14.4 and 18’s. Race Ya!!!!

To the average guy these tools are expensive; however, to those who value quality and never want to buy another cordless drill, they are relatively inexpensive. There are three different battery sizes that relate to the duration of charge…NOT TO THE POWER OF THE DRILL itself. Here are the links on FestoolJunkie for you to take a look.
Festool C12 drill with a 1.3Ah battery.
Festool C12 drill with a 2.4Ah battery.
Festool C12 drill with a 3.0Ah battery.
Ah = Amp Hour
There are also quick change chucking systems, and a Centrotec Bit Assortment Systainer for quick changing of bits. All these chucks can be taken on or off in just seconds. The drill has 2 speeds with 20 torque settings. Brushless to increase the output. Special gearing to achieve optimum torque. And a smart charger that won’t overcharge the batteries. Dude, these are very slick drills. With the 1.3 Ah the drill is a pound lighter than any 14.4
Let me know what you think.
