Qwas Dogs for the Festool MFT/3
September 23rd, 2008
We are proud to introduce and sell Qwas Dogs, the first precision bench dog. Why a precision bench dog? If you look at the Festool and Walko work tables, you will notice the holes are set in a precise grid. With Qwas Dogs you can take advantage of that grid to make perfect cuts, whether cross cuts, rip cuts, or 45 degree cuts (Festool MFT only). 2 pairs of Qwas Dogs allows you test the squareness of work pieces, squares, or help in glueing up your projects. Qwas Dogs are great for holding a workpiece while sanding, sawing, planing, or glueing up a project. Anything that requires holding your workpiece still or requires a perfect 90 degree angle, Qwas Dogs will work.
Qwas Dogs are sold as a matched pair. Each pair is inspected to assure diameters within .001 (1 thousandths) of an inch. Are you planning on using 2 pairs or more? All Qwas Dogs pairs are tested to be within 3 thousandths of an inch to each other (+.001, -002).
Qwas Dogs are designed to utilized the full depth of the holes for proper alignment. Qwas Dogs tapered shoulders are designed to fit the holes perfectly. The small shoulders assures the dogs are aligned with the hole rather than inaccuracies in the table surface from glue, saw kerfs, or water spillage.
Qwas Dogs sit less than 7/16 inch above the table top allowing you to work on anything from 1/2 plywood to 12/4 hardwood. Perfect for sanding and sawing 1/2 inch plywood. If you regularly work on thinner material, we can special order a thinner head to accommodate.
When you understand the precise grid CNC layout on these great work tables have, why use anything less than a precision bench dog, the Qwas Dog.
Festool Junkie is honored to announce the roll-out for the Qwas Dogs (kwas dogs). They are now being offered exclusively through Festool Junkie for $29.95. Made in Valdosta, Georgia, these little “pups” are an essential for those of us doing bench work on the MFT’s, or needing to reference the hole patterns for squaring panels.

New Forum, www.talkFestool.com has moved into it’s new home.
July 30th, 2008
Hello all,
If you are a Festool Owner / User and like the group feeling that you get in a forum environment; www.talkFestool.com has moved into it’s new home. The new Festool oriented forum has a crisp new look, a team of moderator’s, incredible software with hundreds of features, and well, just a great bunch of folks that have already started posting there. This is where FestoolJunkie, TimmyC, RW, and MarkE will base our forum activity and I hope to see many of you woodworking enthusiasts over there to share, play, and learn.
As I mentioned above, the software is indeed superb and will be the perfect arena for content, reviews, and good ol’ conversation about Tools and woodworking. In my opinion, it is going to be a fresh, and certainly unique forum that has beautiful untended soil, that has not been “churned and burned.”
Please stop by and say hi,
Timmy C
www.TalkFestool.com / A brand new Festool Forum
June 12th, 2008
I am honored to have been asked to moderate a section of a new forum out there in the wonderful world of Festool. The forum is called talkFestool; We all know that Festool can be a bit tricky with all the attachments and accessories that are available with many of the Festool tools. The vision is to centralize many of these questions and be able to access answers quickly and confidently.
The forum is brand new, and they are anxious to get the information rolling in. Upon perusing the site, it is very functional and already allows for pictures, there are several “off Festool” zones that you can join in on, and overall it is a very nice environment.
One of the cool things about this is watching it grow. I am sure there will be little anomalies that will arise, and frankly, that is truly part of the attraction. It appears that there are already some great minds that are involved, and I am just tickled green to be part of it.
Get over there! Sign-Up and start sharing ideas, concepts, projects, and most of all….Have Fun!

Festool MFT/3 Ships UPS From Festool Junkie May 1st
April 29th, 2008
Historically the Festool MFT has shipped via Less Than Truckload (LTL). You may recognize trucking company names like ABF, Yellow Freight, Conway, and Old Dominion to name a few. There are several reasons for the freight being delivered in this manner. The #1 reason was / is the amount of handling that the package does NOT incur. Historically these shipments were palletized and loaded with fork lifts on to the truck. As the package would go through the respective terminals, the MFT would stay palletized and move through the distribution channels. At the end of the line, there would need to be arrangements made for home delivery, or perhaps arrangements to pickup the package at the terminal. In many cases the terminal could be miles away; furthermore, it adds delay to the arrival date.
Festool has done a much better job in their factory packaging by adding rigid foam corner supports, and increasing the thickness/quality of the cardboard shell. Even the design of the box has improved. There is no longer the “Top Fold”, but rather, “End Folds” whereby you slide the table out of the end of the box. Thank You Festool for these improvements.
With the launch of the Festool MFT/3 just a couple of days away, we have decided to “pimp out” the packaging and make the table shippable by UPS. We pull each table out of the box, and reinforce all sides with the same rigid foam. We also put stablizers in the center of the box to keep the box from crushing in. It takes a bit of extra work to get the tables in order, but we feel that the “more user friendly” delivery method is worth it. Getting the MFT/3 to your door step timely is what this program is all about.
Festool Junkie pre-ordered a bunch of these table, and we still have several that can be ear-marked with your name on it. Get yours set up for May 1st shipping today.
Festool MFT/3 Video
April 25th, 2008
I am just gonna pass this one on. I could watch it over and over again just for the graphics at the beginning.
The New MFT/3 has been by far the most awaited replacement / improved tool since we have become a dealer. The world about came to an end late last year when Festool announced the “second generation MFT” the MFT 1080 was being put out to pasture. Stability, height and weight are a couple of noticeable features of the MFT/3.
The most improved aspect of the Festool Multi-Function Table, MFT/3 is the angle gage and the rail profiles. Both of these items are greatly improved. The angle gage actually moves front to back, and the profiles will allow for more accessories in the future.
Enjoy the show,
Timmy C
